19th May, Kochi: To serve the increasing demand for hospital beds in India, Aster Volunteers has partnered with Geojit Foundation to launch a 100-oxygen bed Field hospital in Kochi for Covid patients. This is Aster Volunteers 4th field hospital for Covid patients in India, after New Delhi, Calicut and Kottakkal. The facility was inaugurated by Hibi Eden MP on Tuesday and the field hospital will start admitting patients from Wednesday 19th May.
Geojit Foundation ,the charitable trust founded by Geojit Financial Services is funding the initiative, while Aster Volunteers has set up the facility with all the medical equipments and ensured recruitment and training of doctors, nurses, and paramedics to manage the facility.
Speaking on the partnership, Mr. C.J George, Managing Trustee of Geojit Foundation said, “One of the core principles of Geojit Foundation is to support the health and well-being of the marginalized section of the society who do not have access to proper care.
