Endoscopic removal of a long pencil battery from the stomach of a 3 year old child - In this instance, a long pencil battery was removed from a 3 year old child who swallowed it accidently at around midnight.

Accidental swallowing of pencil batteries is very rare in view of the huge size. Endoscopic removal of such batteries very challenging and is a life saving emergency.
